Talk about exquisite timing.

Smack dab in an era when people are washing their hands more than ever, a growing national plant-based soap brand is opening a brick-and-mortar business in the heart of Canton.

Buff City Soap, which prides itself in its mission to “create handmade products that are free of harsh ingredients and full of nourishing plant based goodness” is scheduled to open within the next month with a Canton Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony scheduled for Oct. 13 at the 43555 Ford Road site.

“We take tremendous pride in handcrafting each and every bar of soap in our Soap Makery,” Buff City’s website says. “Each one is truly unique. 1 of 1. Just like you!”

The fresh new business is attached to the recently-opened Planet Fitness. In addition to its colorful exterior decorations, Buff City has even lined its parking spaces with turquoise paint.

All of Buff City’s products are made onsite by hand. It’s range of products include seasonal soap, specialty soap and must-have soap. Its categories include fruity, floral, sweet, herbal, clean, masculine and unscented.

The Canton location will be Buff City’s seventh store in southeast Michigan, joining ones in Ann Arbor and Brighton.

Once open, its hours of operation are Monday to Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday noon to 6 p.m.

SocialHouseNews.com will be on hand for the store’s grand opening to provide further details on Canton’s smell-good new buisness.
