Bob’s Big Boy is coming to Plymouth. Here are the details

Bob’s Big Boy is coming to Plymouth. Here are the details

A Bob’s Big Boy is set to open on Ann Arbor Road in Plymouth this fall.

There’s good news on the horizon for everyone craving Brawny Lads and Slim Jims — Big Boy menu favorites that have been increasingly hard to sink your teeth into since the 85-year-old franchise started shuttering many of its locations over the past decade.

A new-concept Bob’s Big Boy is scheduled to open on Ann Arbor Road in Plymouth sometime this fall, revealed Habib Baydoun, the business’s owner.

The Big Boy will open in the shopping complex located just north of the Henry Ford Medical Center, sandwiched between a Chipotle and AT&T store.

“We realize how much people love Bob’s Big Boy, not only for its food but for its family-friendly atmosphere,” said Baydoun.

Fast-casual concept

“This location will be fast-casual, with options to dine in or take out.”

Baydoun, who owns Big Boy franchises in Woodhaven and Wyandotte, said his Plymouth restaurant’s space covers roughly 2,800 square feet.

“The menu will be limited compared to the menu Big Boy offered several years ago, but all of the Big Boy classics will be available,” he said.

Baydoun said a relative of his is opening a similar Bob’s Big Boy restaurant in Farmington Hills.

“We are incredibly excited to bring Big Boy back to Plymouth,” he said. “The location on Ann Arbor Road is fantastic.”
