Former Discovery M.S. student lines up against MSU Saturday
A former standout youth football player for the Plymouth-Canton Steelers, Kam Arnold will be out to make life difficult for one of his home state’s college football teams Friday night at Alumni Stadium, the home of the Boston College Eagles.
Arnold, a Canton native who attended Discovery Middle School before taking his academic and athletic skills to Orchard Lake Saint Mary’s, is a senior linebacker for Boston College, which will host Michigan State Saturday at 8 p.m.
At 6-foot-1, 229 pounds, Arnold is one of the Eagles’ leading tacklers this season following a breakout 2023 campaign in which he was third on the team in total tackles. Arnold capped his season with an MVP performance in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, racking up six tackles and a sack against SMU.
Arnold is quickly becoming a target on NFL teams’ draft radars, according to NFLdraftDiamonds.com.

Arnold is the son of Ana and Ken Arnold.
Arnold older brother, Kenny, played Division 1 football for Indiana University before graduating in 2017.
He is pursuing a Masters of Business Administration and was the recipient of the Jospeh Ramos M.D. ’77 Football Scholarship Fund, according to the Boston College athletics website.
