GCYBSA to host fall Wiffle Ball tournament in Canton

On Sept. 27, the Greater Canton Youth Baseball & Softball Association is hosting an event that will make your kids want to swap out their electronics for a skinny plastic baseball bat.

Fifteen teams have already signed up for the Plastic Fantastic Classic Wiffle Ball tournament but there is room for more. The tournament is divided into divisions based on age. Kids as young as 6 years old can participate.

The registration deadline for the tournament is Sunday with games being scheduled for Sept. 27.

The games will be umpired by members of the 12U Canton Cardinals squad.

Wiffle Ball has experienced a resurgence in popularity in the past few years, with backyards being transformed into Fields of Dreams.
