 Northville’s Mod Market to host 5th Annual Autism Art Show

This painting, titled Detroit Skyline, was created by Nicholas Gorski and is an example of the outstanding art that will be available at the Mod Market Art Show.

Twelve artists with autism will have their work featured in Mod Market’s 5th Annual Autism Acceptance Art Show, opening Tuesday, April 8, at Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea in Novi Town Center.

The event, held in recognition of Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month, shines a light on creativity, inclusion, and opportunity for individuals with different abilities.

The show will run through May 13, featuring a diverse collection of artwork across various mediums.

Proceeds go to great cause

Summer Stream was painted by Dave Hankin for the art showAll pieces will be available for purchase, with 50% of proceeds going directly to the artists and the remainder supporting Mod Market, an inclusive artisan shop and job-training program operated by the Living and Learning Enrichment Center (LLEC) in Northville.

The opening reception will take place Tuesday, April 8, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public, offering a chance to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments, and celebrate neurodiverse talent.
