Here’s the truth on Canton’s coming-soon ‘Honest’ restaurant
Honest is located in the Center Square shopping complex in Canton.
Honest, Canton’s newest restaurant specializing in authentic Indian street food, is on schedule to open this summer as part of the Center Square shopping complex located where Sheldon Center and Canton Center roads fork off.
Honest, which was founded in 1975 as a family-run street cart in Ahmedabad, India, is closing in on 40 locations around the globe.
“Get ready for the unforgettable gastronomical experience,” Honest’s website says. “Our passion has been to offer fresh food by using quality ingredients.”
Contemporary ambiance
Honest will have a contemporary ambiance, its website adds. “Our spacious interiors and caring team offer a sublime dining experience.”
The Canton location will be in the second in southeast Michigan, joining Michigan’s first Honest in Troy.
The reasonably-priced menu includes Indian vegetarian with street foods, sandwiches, dosas, chaat, uttapam and pay bhahi.

“We incorporated from western, southern and northern India, including spicy Indo-Chinese dishes,” the restaurant’s owners emphasize.
