Here are up-to-date KLAA football teams’ playoff projections
Northville rallied from a third-quarter deficit and defeated Salem, 37-23, last month to pick up valuable playoff points.
A lot can still happen over the final three weeks of the 2025 MHSAA football season, but a popular (and historically accurate) website has projected this fall’s playoff pairings through Week 6.
Using updated playoff points earned for each team in Michigan, Snooze2you.com is projecting eight (of 16) Kensington Lakes Activities Association teams will qualify for the post-season.
Winning five games no longer guarantees a post-season berth.
Arguably, the most-anticipated first-round game between KLAA Division 1 teams would be Northville at Belleville, Snooze2you.com predicts. The winner would play the winner of the projected Saline-Ann Arbor Huron encounter.
C.C. in potential path of two KLAA teams
Two KLAA teams are slotted for Region 2, District 1 games: Detroit Catholic Central would host Hartland and Farmington would host Brighton.
Howell is projected to host East Kentwood in a Region 1, District 2 match-up, with the winner playing either Grand Ledge or Caledonia.
Both KLAA representatives from Dearborn — Dearborn High and Fordson — are projected for Region 4, District 2. The Pioneers would face unbeaten Detroit Cass Tech while the Tractors would travel to Woodhaven for a first-round game.
Livonia Franklin is projected to play Dearborn Heights Crestwood in a Division 2 first-round match-up featuring 4-2 teams.
Rocks need strong finish
Among the KLAA teams on the outside of the playoff projections — but still harboring realistic post-season hopes — are Salem and Westland John Glenn, both of whom are 3-3.
With 43.0 playoff points earned, Salem is the 33rd-ranked D1 team (32 make the playoffs in each division), meaning a strong finish to the season could earn the Rocks their first post-season appearance since 2017.
John Glenn is ranked 36th in the Week 6 projections.
