Restaurant with clever name, delicious food coming to Canton
Middle Eats, located at 39707 Ford Road, is expected to open before the end of the summer.
Canton’s variety of Middle Eastern eateries is set to grow by one.
A representative of Middle Eats confirmed with Social House News that its new location at 39707 Ford Road is scheduled to open before the end of the summer.
Middle Eats will take over the space previously occupied by JL Hudson Bistro, which closed just a few months after opening in April of 2025.
Revolving door
Prior to JL Hudson Bistro, the property was leased for a short time by The Aussie Grill, a fast-casual drive-thru/eat-in restaurant owned by Outback Steakhouse.
Currently, the closest Middle Eats location to Canton is located at 27651 Southfield Road in Lathrup Village.
According to its Instagram page, which has over 22,000 followers, Middle Eats specializes in Halal Mediterranean-inspired bowls, wraps and salads.

Middle Eats has received favorable social media reviews, including 4.5 (out of 5) stars on Yelp!
Middle Eats’ expansive menu has items ranging from $9.58 (classic chicken shawarma) to $29.91 (trifecta chicken, steak and shrimp bowl).
