Huge soccer match to raise $$ for SJ5K, determine P-CEP champ

Salem-vs.-Canton soccer matches are always attention-grabbers in the soccer-loving communities of Canton and Plymouth.
Thursday’s 7 p.m. clash at the P-CEP’s East Turf Stadium between the Rocks and Cobras will be extra special.
In addition to determining the 2025 “Park” champion, Thursday’s match will serve as an important fundraiser for the SJ5K, an annual event that families that provides financial support to local families that have been afflicted with indescribable health issues.
Helping a great cause
The 2025 SJ5K recipients will serve as honorary captains for the game. There will also be raffles, PK shootouts at halftime, and opportunities for fans to make donations for the amazing charity.
Salem players Anthony Falsetta and Jack Madzia, and Canton players Maksim Argote and Andrew Covino are members of the SJ5K Student Committee.
Salem is currently 6-2-2 overall and 4-0 in the KLAA West Division. The Rocks are tied for first place in the KLAA West Division with Hartland.
Canton is 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the division.
