HOT ‘CAVA’! Here’s why popular brand chose Canton as state’s 1st location
CAVA’s grand opening in Canton is Sunday, July 20, at 10:45 a.m.
The decision-makers for CAVA could have chosen a multitude of communities from which to open their first location in Michigan.
Why did they choose Canton?
“We love everything about this community as a whole,” said Monice Davis, CAVA’s area leader for Michigan. “It’s a growing community that embraces fresh-food brands like ours. We couldn’t be happier with the decision to make Canton the first location in Michigan.”
While the vast majority of metro-Detroit residents have never tried CAVA’s healthy, Mediterranean-themed menu, the ones who have offer rave reviews from experiences they’ve had at CAVA locations outside of Michigan.
Fresh is the word
“I think the No. 1 reason we’re so popular is that we offer fresh, Mediterranean cuisine,” said Davis. “Everything is made fresh in-house every day.

“Our motto is ‘Heart, Health and Humanity’, so everybody has a seat at the table with CAVA. The second you step in our restaurant, you’re family, you’re a guest here.”
Even though the Canton CAVA (43450 Ford Rd.) doesn’t officially open until Sunday, July 20, at 10:45 a.m., the brand has already made a positive impact on the community.

Already giving back
During a Saturday Community Day celebration, CAVA raised money for the Gleaners Food Bank of Southeast Michigan, a metro-Detroit-based nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger.

A CAVA press release emphasized that CAVA menu items feature “bold flavors made with quality ingredients”.
“Guests can enjoy chef-curated or fully customized bowls and pitas,” the statement continued. “CAVA’s fully customizable menu is made up of 38 ingredients, creating over 17 billion combinations for guests to enjoy through bowls, pitas, chips, dips, juice and dressings.”
Davis said CAVA locations will open in the near future in Detroit and Novi.
Plenty of applicants
She added that the new Canton location received plenty of applications for employment, making the task of filling out its staff “easy”.

Trainers were flown in from out-of-state locations to help make the transition a smooth one.
The first 50 customers who purchase a meal on Sunday will receive a CAVA swag bag, Davis confirmed.
CAVA’s summer hours of operation are 10:45 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. daily.
