Bye-bye buybuy Baby, hello Value City Furniture!
On Monday, the future store manager of the new Value City Furniture located at 42595 Ford Road (the former site of buybuy Baby) confirmed to Social House News that the business is on schedule to open in mid-February.
The closest VCF to Canton currently is located at 8300 Wayne Road in Westland.
Prime spot in Canton
“We’re excited to be opening in Canton,” said Store Manager Cameron Schambre, a 2005 graduate of Salem High School. “I know the company has been looking to secure a Canton location for a while and the Ford Road site worked perfectly.”

VCF has close to 130 stores nation-wide — most along the East Coast, Schambre said.
Schambre said VCF prides itself on offering high-quality, high-end furniture for more-affordable prices than furniture stores like, for example, Ethan Allen and Pottery Barn.
High-end and affordable
“Stuff that may cost $10,000 at the high-end furniture stores is around $2,000 to $3,000 at Value City Furniture — but our product is still a well-made, high-quality furniture,” Schambre said. “We offer a selection of high-grade Italian leather furniture that’s affordable for everybody.”
“We offer customizable options, too — whatever it takes to please our customers.”
