Oakland Co. man graduates college, wins 6-figure Lottery prize
The winning ticket was purchased at this market in Harper Woods.
An Oakland County man graduated from college and cashed in on a $110,000 Fantasy 5 Double Play prize on the same day!
The 27-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, matched the Fantasy 5 Double Play numbers May 15, 2025, to win the big prize: 03-10-18-22-39. He bought the winning ticket at Paramount Foods, located at 19230 Harper Avenue in Harper Woods. The prize was claimed days before it was set to expire.
“Whenever I go to the store and have a few extra bucks in my pocket, I will buy a Fantasy 5 or Lotto 47 ticket,” said the player. “A few days after the drawing, I checked the winning numbers and found out I was the winner of a $110,000 prize!

Winnings will go toward tuition
“When I won, I knew I would be graduating college the following spring, so I decided to wait to cash the ticket until then so I could use the money to pay off my tuition and have a fresh start after college. Although it was hard to wait, it’s been reassuring knowing I have a huge amount of money waiting for me.
“Today, I graduated college and cashed in a $110,000 lottery prize, so I’d say that’s pretty cool!”
The lucky player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay off his college tuition, take a trip, and then save the remainder.
