New Canton medical spa will make you feel, look more vibrant

If you want to look and feel like a million bucks without paying anything close to that amount, a dynamic new Canton business is waiting to serve you.
Featuring state-of-the-art technology and affordable pricing, Michigan’s first Skinovatio Medical Spa opened earlier this month at 2200 N. Canton Center Road (suite 120).
Based in Chicago, Skinovatio’s Canton franchise is owned and operated by local residents David and Martina Chapp, both former Ford Motor Co. engineers.
“When we learned there was a Skinovatio franchise for sale, we discovered there was a lot of growth in this industry,” said Martina Chapp. “After talking to Skinovatio representatives, David and I traveled to Chicago and toured six of their facilities and we were totally impressed.
“After discussing it for a while, we said to each other, ‘We can do this!'”
FDA-approved technology
The Skinovatio brand prides itself on improving its customers’ aesthetics with Federal Drug Administration-approved, proprietary and top-of-the-line technology — with non-invasive or minimally-invasive procedures.
“We offer effective, non-surgical options instead of the full-on plastic surgery that requires a lot of downtime for the patients,” Martina said. “Depending on the procedure, you may have to wait in the office for a half hour or so, or you may have to take a few days off work, but it’s not the multiple-week downtime a lot of plastic surgeries require.”

The Chapps have invested in cutting-edge equipment and a staff of experienced technicians.
Their office, which is located just south of Ford Road, is perfectly designed and decorated to provide a soothing setting for customers.
“We’ve had customers who came in for treatments the first day we were open who have already booked their second appointments with us,” Martina said. “The feedback we’ve been getting is fantastic.”
Prioritizing customer service
“We’re really emphasizing customer service and high-quality treatment,” David Chapp added. “One of our top priorities, too, is retaining our staff because they’re what help build loyal customers.
“The last thing we want is for someone to have a great experience, then return for their next visit and find out the person who treated them is no longer on the staff.”
Skinovatio’s procedures do not require anesthesia, the Chapps emphasized.
“A few procedures require a numbing cream, but that’s all,” Martina said.
The menu of procedures available at Skinovatio ranges from hydrafacials, which provide a deep cleansing of facial tissues to promote healthier-looking skin, to body-sculpting technology that can make dramatically reduce cellulite.
Hair growth and hair removal options
“We have one machine that — in just 30 minutes time — stimulates your stomach muscles to the degree comparable to if you did 20,000 sit-ups,” Martina said. “It’s perfect for a lot of people these days who simply don’t have time to work out on a regular basis. It’s not that they’re lazy; they just don’t have the time.”
Skinovatio offers hair removal and hair growth procedures.
“Traditionally, women visited medical spas like ours more than men, but a lot more men are finding are procedures beneficial as well,” she said.
Skinovatio is open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays; and is closed on Sundays.
