Metro-Detroit Planet Fitness charity event to feature ‘Halloween’ star

Planet Fitness has a long relationship with the Make-A-Wish foundation.
The Metro Detroit Planet Fitness gyms have once again signed on as presenting sponsor for Make-A-Wish Michigan’s annual Walk for Wishes event at the Detroit Zoo.
They will kick off the initiative with a free pre-walk benefit event with prizes, free food and refreshments and a guest star appearance from the world’s most-popular “Halloween” character, actor James Jude Courtney.
Courtney is an avid and loyal Planet Fitness member and proud to be part of this amazing initiative for Walk for Wishes.
Courtney has appeared in several TV series and films including, “When A Man Loves A Woman” and “Far And Away” and is best known for the iconic role of Michael Myers in the box office hits “Halloween”, “Halloween Kills” and “Halloween Ends”.
Free benefit includes special guest
A free Walk for Wishes pre-walk benefit event will take place on Friday, April 28, from 3-5 p.m. at the Warren Planet Fitness located at 8393 12 Mile Road (in Tech Plaza at the corner of Van Dyke).
The pre-Walk benefit event is open to the public (you do not need to be a gym member to attend). There will be free food, refreshments and smoothies served along with fun for the entire family.
Attendees can purchase raffle tickets and bid on exclusive auction items, where all the proceeds will benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan.
In addition, attendees will have the chance to meet and get a professional photograph (printed on site) with celebrity Courtney. Photos are $20 each and all proceeds from the photos will also be donated to Make-A-Wish Michigan.
Chance to mingle with media personalities
Attendees will also have the chance to mingle with several well-known media personalities, all while helping a great cause.
Walk For Wishes is a nationwide Make-A-Wish fundraiser that supports granting life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. It’s a family-friendly event powered by wish families, volunteers, companies, donors and friends.
By joining this caring community of people at one of the many walks across the U.S., you will help ensure that no child waits even one unnecessary day to experience the hope and joy that a wish brings.
