Longtime Detroit sports anchor Brad Galli launches new venture
Brad Galli
After spending more than 15 years becoming one of Michigan’s most trusted and recognizable sports journalists, award-winning broadcaster Brad Galli is launching a new independent media venture, The Brad Galli Show, delivering exclusive interviews, original reporting, behind-the-scenes access, and compelling sports storytelling directly to fans across digital platforms.
The venture marks a significant new chapter in Galli’s distinguished career. A three-time Michigan Sportscaster of the Year, multiple Emmy Award winner and the 2024 and 2025 Best Sportscast Winner from the Michigan Association of Broadcasters, Galli built his reputation through relentless reporting, authentic relationships with athletes and coaches, and a passion for telling the stories behind Michigan’s biggest sports moments.
Now, for the first time, he is bringing that coverage directly to audiences through his own platform.
Top-shelf guests lined up
The first three episodes of The Brad Galli Show are available now on YouTube and feature exclusive conversations with Pro Football Hall of Fame running back Barry Sanders along with Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs, University of Michigan head basketball coach Dusty May, and Detroit Tigers legends Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker.

“I am excited to take fans closer to the action, consistently providing content that gets people up close with their favorite players, coaches, and prominent figures in the state of Michigan and beyond.,” Galli said. “We’re going to be meeting fans on digital media platforms that allows us to provide a greater opportunity to deliver more access, more conversations, and more storytelling than ever before.”
The metro-Detroit native grew up with a passion for sports, especially the home teams.
Brother Rice grad
A graduate of Brother Rice High School and Marquette University, Galli’s journey began as an intern at Detroit’s WXYZ-TV (ABC) in 2009. Through dedication, persistence, and a deep connection to the local sports community, he rose through the ranks to become sports director and one of the most respected voices in Michigan sports media.
Throughout his career, Galli has covered some of the most memorable moments in Detroit and Michigan sports history. From championship runs and playoff pushes to coaching changes, major recruiting stories, and historic milestones, he has earned a reputation for being where the story is happening.
Throughout his career, Galli has supported charitable organizations such as Angels’ Place where he has volunteered for more than 15 years, local community programs, and causes that matter. With this new venture, he is committed to building on that foundation and finding new ways to give back, empower others, and strengthen the community.
Free from the constraints of traditional television formats, Galli will be able to provide longer-form interviews, more frequent updates, deeper storytelling, and expanded access to the personalities and moments shaping sports in Michigan.
