Local woman goes Kroger-ing, wins $4 million on scratch-off

An Oakland County woman was frozen in the Kroger parking lot after finding out she won $4 million playing the Michigan Lottery’s Electric 300s instant game.
“I play scratch-off tickets all the time and the $30 tickets are my favorite,” said the 77-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous.
“I scratched the ticket in my car in the store parking lot when I was done shopping. When I saw I won $4 million, I was frozen in my seat for a while.
Husband in disbelief
“I told my husband when I got home, and he had a hard time believing it even after looking the ticket over. We haven’t told anyone about our big win, but plan to surprise our family with the news soon!”

“The Michigan Lottery offers more than 100 instant games which give players the chance to win life-changing prizes,” said Lottery Commissioner Suzanna Shkreli.
“In this case, the lucky player went grocery shopping and left the store a millionaire! It is great to hear that she plans to use her big win to help others by donating and sharing with her family.”
Let’s go Krogering!
The player bought her winning ticket at the Kroger store, located at 670 Highland Avenue in Milford.
She recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. She chose to receive her prize as annual payments of about $133,000 for the next 30 years rather than a one-time lump sum payment of $2.7 million.
With her winnings, she plans to complete some home repairs, donate, and share with family.
