Here’s Canton Township’s full line-up of fun fall activities

Pumpkin Patch in the Pool is set for Oct. 11 at the Summit on the Park.
Area residents are encouraged to discover fall delights and celebrate the Halloween season when Canton Leisure Services presents a full lineup of enjoyable and engaging activities and events for all ages to experience the fun of the season.
The line-up looks like this:
- Canton’s Trick or Treat Trail returns on Saturday, Oct. 4. Littles ones are encouraged to dress up in their costumes and visit over 30 trick or treat stations during select time slots from 1-4 p.m. in Heritage Park, located at 1080 Canton Center Road. Pre-registration is required for all trick-or-treaters, regardless of age online at www.cantonfun.org/register. Per-person fees are $13 for Canton residents and $16 for non-residents. Adults do not need to register unless they are collecting treats.
- On Saturday, Oct. 11, Pumpkin Patch in the Pool will be held in the Summit on the Park’s Aquatic Center, located at 46000 Summit Parkway. This festive event offers a fun twist on the tradition of pumpkin picking giving participants a chance to hunt for the perfect pumpkin from 5-6:30 p.m. and then embellish it, while enjoying cider and donuts from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in a special decorating room. Participation fees are $19 for Summit members, $21 for Canton residents and $28 for non-residents. Children 11 years of age and under must have a parent or guardian with them in the water during this event. Registration (by Oct. 3) is only required for individuals decorating and taking home a pumpkin at www.cantonfun.org/register.
- On Sunday, Oct. 12, Pumpkins and Pups will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Canton Dog Park located on Denton Road north of Cherry Hill Road. Dog owners along with their four-legged friends can enjoy live entertainment, purchase merchandise, and receive free give-a-ways from local pet supply and service vendors. Participants are encouraged to dress up with their pups to enter our costume contest with prizes! During the event, be sure to pick up a Pet Passport and head to Preservation Park for a Pup Cup from the Canton Farmers Market. Both members of the Dog Park and non-members are invited to let their dogs experience this off-leash dog park during this free event. All non-dog park members must show proof of up-to-date vaccination for rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP, signed by an accredited veterinarian to attend. No pre-registration is required.
- The Village Arts Factory, in partnership with Canton Leisure Services, is excited to offer a Kids’ Halloween Stroll at the Village Arts Factory on Saturday, Oct. 25, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with games, music, treats, decorations, and costumes. In addition, a sensory-friendly time slot will be held from 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Trick or Treaters will travel from studio to studio on their stroll, visiting fun, interactive stations located throughout the warehouse building, located at 50755 Cherry Hill Road, as well as at participating Village businesses. This event is geared toward younger trick or treaters ages 12 and under, with festive seasonal music and decorations portraying nothing scary. All participants are encouraged to wear costumes. Pre-registration is required by Oct. 18. Tickets are $5 and are only available online at www.cantonfun.org/register.
