Hannan Center to host ‘Spring into Summer: Health Is Wealth’ health fair

Hannan Center will welcome residents from across Metro Detroit to its “Spring into Summer: Health Is Wealth” Health Fair on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 4750 Woodward Ave. in Midtown Detroit.
The free, family-friendly event will highlight practical ways older adults and their families can embrace healthy living heading into the summer months.
Presented in partnership with AmeriCorps and Hannan’s My Neighborhood Connections program, the health fair will feature health information, community resources and interactive activities designed to support physical, emotional and social well-being.
Free refreshments, chance to connect
Attendees will enjoy free refreshments and the opportunity to connect with Hannan staff and partners.

Live cooking demonstration
Registered dietitian and chef Doniss Hicks, president and owner of the Living4LifeWithDon food truck, will provide a live cooking demonstration focused on nutritious, affordable meals that work for families and older adults.
The demonstration will emphasize easy-to-prepare dishes and tips for incorporating fresh, seasonal ingredients into everyday meals.
Guests can also capture memories at the event with a complimentary photo booth experience and free photos. Additional information about Hannan’s programs and activities will encourage participants to explore local programs that support healthy, purposeful aging in Detroit.
