Fund launched to assist four children of Northville Twp. parents killed in neighborhood crash
In the blink of an eye early Saturday morning, four Northville Township children lost their parents as a result of a still-under-investigation traffic accident that occurred in the Steeplechase subdivision in Northville Township.
Killed in the single-car crash were Omar Salamen, 46, and his wife Manal Kadry, 40. Salamen was reportedly driving home in the neighborhood near the intersection of Seven Mile and Napier roads when the car left the roadway and hit a tree.
The couple were pronounced dead at the scene.
Over $179,000 had been raised as of Wednesday afternoon with a goal of $200,000 set by the fundraiser’s organizers.
“Dean, Noah, McKean and Sophia (the couple’s children) will grow up with a huge gap in their lives,” the fundraising site reads. “Let us come together to honor them by honoring their children.”
The deadline for donations is Nov. 21, Manal’s birthday.
We’ve included a touching tribute video that has been made in remembrance for the beautiful family below.
