Fredi The Pizzaman joins Born In Detroit for Autism Month fundraiser
Fredi The Pizzaman Foundation announces a collaboration with Michigan owned and operated, Born in Detroit Apparel, LLC, with the launch of an exclusive Fredi The Pizzaman Foundation apparel line.
A portion of proceeds from this limited-edition apparel line will benefit the foundation.
The collaborative apparel line is available for a limited time, now through April 22, 2024, at BornInDetroit.Store and at FrediThePizzaMan.com.
Inspired by his son, Antonio, Canton resident Fredi Bello formed the foundation in 2016.
The foundation’s mission is to create autism acceptance and to honor autism spectrum disorder (ASD) teachers for all the great work they do for children.
Goal: Provide school sensory rooms
The purpose of the Fredi The Pizzaman Foundation is to provide sensory rooms in Michigan schools and public places.
As of April 10, the foundation has supported 85 schools throughout Michigan and some major arenas including Ford Field and the Breslin Center in East Lansing. It has provided nearly $130,000 in sensory equipment and scholarships, that are all done through 100% donations and fundraising.
The limited-edition apparel cobranded for Born in Detroit and Fredi The Pizzaman Foundation features a variety of options for adults and children, including t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, hats, long-sleeve crew shirts and an apron, that is perfect for chefs and pizza-makers.
Born In Detroit was trademarked in 2015 and brought to life in 2020 by a group of true Detroiters — two sets of brothers, Michael and Anthony Tomey; and George and Alex Bourkoulas, along with their friend, Michael “Mikey” Shumaker.
Pride in Detroit
The mission of Born In Detroit is to showcase the pride of Detroiters near and far, and to establish a brand partner to champion the city and surrounding communities.
Born In Detroit was created to honor that pride that Detroit is more than a city, it is that feeling of pride, hard work and perseverance. You do not need to be born in Detroit, to be a proud “Detroiter”, and you can wear Born In Detroit and showcase to the world how much this city means to you.
