Downtown Plymouth cornerstone property on verge of re-opening
The fast-approaching fall season will be festive for those anxiously awaiting the opening of The Ledger, an upscale dining and cocktail establishment set to replace the former Greek Islands Eatery at 306 Main Street in downtown Plymouth.
Not long after Greek Islands Jimmy Merdani and his fellow co-owners closed the Greek Islands on Jan. 16, he promised a new business with an improved dining and drinking concept.
The property’s interior has undergone a complete renovation that will match the former coney island-style establishment’s more-high-end atmosphere.
What to expect
According to its recently-launched Facebook page, The Ledger promotes its “modern fare and cocktails”.
The Ledger’s still-under-construction website goes into more details about what future patrons can expect, stating:
“At The Ledger, new ideas meet timeless, classic technique, with an unexpected modern menu, surrounded by chic decor with sophisticated service.”
The Ledger’s beverage menu will feature “innovative craft cocktails … along with a full bar offering and a modern menu.”
New-look Main Street
The Ledger will be part of a new-look Main Street in Plymouth as Highline Spirits, a high-end craft cocktail lounge and tasting room, is expected to open sometime in 2023 after being approved for a liquor license in June.
And another DTP cornerstone property at Main Street and Ann Arbor Trail — a former Panera Bread — is expected to be rebranded as a specialty bakery.
The Ledger is searching for bartenders, bar backs and dishwashers. If interested, you can apply here.
