Corewell Health hosting important Women’s Wellness Day this month

The event will take place at the Rose Cancer Center, 3577 W. 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak.
Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital is hosting its third annual Women’s Wellness Day on Saturday, April 26, featuring educational sessions aimed at empowering women and fostering connections.
The event will be held at the Corewell Health Rose Cancer Center, located at 3577 W. 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak.
This year’s theme, “Working Toward a Lifetime of Wellness,” reflects a commitment to addressing women’s health throughout every stage of life, focusing on prevention and early detection to treatment, recovery and caregiving.
Women ages 25 to 75 are invited to take part in this no-cost, dynamic morning of education, self-care and inspiration at the newly renovated Rose Cancer Center.
Event highlights include:
- Interactive “Ask the Doctor” Panels
- Urology & Pelvic Health 9:10 – 9:50 a.m. Learn how the pelvic floor supports bladder, bowel, reproductive and sexual health. Specialists will address symptom recognition, treatment options and lifestyle-based prevention.
- Precision Cancer Care 10:10 – 10:50 a.m. Discover how personalized cancer treatments and evolving technologies are improving patient outcomes. Discussions will include early detection, genetic risks and screening.
- Caring for the Caregiver 11:10 – 11:50 a.m. Practical advice and emotional support for those caring for loved ones. Topics include scheduling, accessing resources and avoiding burnout.
- Integrative medicine for women’s health Through interactive presentations learn how integrative modalities support women’s health and well-being. Prioritizing self-care can empower women during every stage of life.
- Mindfulness 9:10 – 9:50 a.m.: Learn about the practice of mindfulness and experience guided meditation.
- Narrative medicine: healthy aging 10:10 – 10:50 a.m.: Narrative medicine is a medical approach to storytelling in health care. Each person has their own health history, lifestyle and experiences that contribute to their overall wellness. Learn how physicians work with a person’s individual narrative to support healthy aging.
- Integrative therapies for female health 1:05 – 11:50 a.m.: Physician panel will discuss topics like better sleep, hormones and cravings, natural doesn’t mean healthy and much more.
- Interactive Meal Planning Demonstrations 15-minute sessions with a culinary chef: 9:30 a.m. – Modern Mediterranean; 10:30 a.m. – Charcuterie Board Creations; 11:30 a.m. – Plant-Based Delights
- Rise and Shine Chair Yoga 8:00 – 8:45 a.m. Begin your day with a gentle, restorative yoga session. Open to all experience levels.
