CAVA’s new Canton location plans huge opening weekend
Canton’s new CAVA restaurant is set to open to the public Sunday, July 20.
The wait is almost over for the thousands of western Wayne County fans of CAVA, a Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant that is on the verge of opening on Ford Road in Canton.
A CAVA area manager confirmed with SocialHouseNews.com that the popular restaurant chain that launched in 2011 will open its Canton location to the public on Sunday at 43450 Ford Road (the former site of a Boston Market).
Friends and family members of CAVA employees will be invited to enjoy a meal on Friday.

Healthy, customizable meals
CAVA offers a wide range of customizable grain bowls, salads and pita wraps, allowing customers to create their own meals.
This personalized format is an appetizing draw for health-conscious consumers, according to multiple foodie-themed websites.
News of CAVA’s opening in Canton generated a wave of positive social-media posts — a reflection of the brand’s popularity.
The Canton location will be CAVA’s second in Michigan, joining a downtown-Detroit site.
Noble mission
CAVA’s mission statement on its website is: “Bring heart, health and humanity to food.”
“We believe in … serving delicious food that helps more people eat well and live well, taking care of the people and things that feed us: the earth, farmers, purveyors and teams members; and food as a unifier, for a more diverse yet inclusive world where all are welcome,” the site explained.
The restaurant’s menu is headlined by several healthy bowls, including ones featuring spicy lamb and avocado (795 calories), Falafel crunch (860 cals) and a chicken and rice dish (710 cals).
Pitas, too
A wide variety of pitas populate the menu, which also offers build-your-own bowls and pitas options.
Among the sides listed on the online menu include multiple flavors of hummus, harissa and eggplant.
CAVA’s hours of operation are 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
