Cancer-fighting comedian Coulier headlines local ‘healing and hope’ event

Comedian Dave Coulier will headline a healing and hope event in August in Oakland Township.

On Sunday, August 10, from 9 a.m. to noon, “Pain to Purpose” will bring together survivors, caregivers, wellness experts, and advocates for a powerful morning of healing and hope, all to raise funds for The V Foundations life-saving cancer research.

Co-hosted by Live Well Lead Well and B.T.R. Nation, this 40-guest gathering will take place at the serene Adams Manor, where nature, nourishment, and non-toxic living converge in support of a vital cause. Adams Manor is located at 3800 Adams Road in Oakland Township.

Actor and comedian Dave Coulier will headline the event, sharing his personal cancer journey and how the intersection of movement, nutrition, and mindset supported his recovery.

Meaningful conversations

Guests will enjoy a guided nature walk, healing-centered wellness tools, nourishing breakfast bites, and meaningful conversations with founders and experts.

A live Q&A session with Coulier, Ashley Nickelsen (founder of B.T.R. Nation), and a representative from The V Foundation, will offer attendees a deeper connection to the mission.

This is more than a fundraiser—its a tribute to resilience,” said Melissa Coulier, co-founder of Live Well Lead Well and event organizer. Everyone in the room has been touched by cancer in some way. Were gathering to share stories, tools, and hope — and to fund critical research that can save lives.”

Healthy menu, soothing music

Guests will enjoy nourishing breakfast bites, custom mocktails, ambient music, and access to breath-work, movement, and nature-based wellness practices throughout the morning.

With only 40 spots available, the event is designed for intimate connection and reflection.

Tickets are $250 per person, with 100% of proceeds going directly to The V Foundation.
