 Busch’s bringing flavors of the Southwest to metro Detroit

Busch’s Fresh Food Market is bringing the flavors of the Southwest to southeast Michigan with the return of its annual Hatch Chile celebration beginning August 10th.

During the celebration, customers can experience live roasting events at 12 Busch’s locations, where fresh Hatch chiles are roasted on-site to bring out their signature smoky-sweet, earthy flavor.

Distinctive taste

Grown exclusively in the Hatch Valley of southern New Mexico, Hatch Chiles owe their distinctive taste to the region’s fertile soil, high elevation, and unique climate of hot days and cool desert nights.

Here’s the schedule …

The roasting events will take place from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the following Busch’s locations:

  • August 14: Ann Arbor Main St., Ann Arbor Green Rd.,  and Canton, Canton Center Rd.;
  • August 21: Livonia, Plymouth, Brighton;
  • August 28: Saline, South Lyon, Dexter; and
  • September 4: Farmington, West Bloomfield, Novi

Throughout Hatch Chile season, Busch’s will also feature the sought-after peppers in a variety of fresh, made-in-house specialties, including Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese, Artisan Sourdough Bread, Hatch Chile & Swiss Burgers, Hatch Chile Cornbread, Hatch Chile Salsa, and Hatch Chile Coleslaw.
