Brighton business adds fun element to Sunday’s Lions-Packers game
As if Sunday’s Detroit Lions-at-Green Bay Packers game wasn’t epic already, a Brighton business has added some extra incentive for the home team to secure a victory.
Cooper & Binkley Jewelers, located at 105 W. Main St. in Brighton, has joined forces with Green Bay-based Bay Area Diamond Company for a friendly competition that could earn one lucky customer a pair of eye-catching diamond stud earrings valued at $2,000.
First of all, to become eligible to win the earrings, customers need to visit the Brighton store and enter their name for a chance to win. The same holds true for Packers fans who visit the Bay Area Diamond Company.
How to win
If the Lions defeat the Packers, Cooper & Binkley Jewelers will randomly select a winner from those who entered and Bay Area will present them with the earrings and a special gift of Green Bay’s signature cheese curds.
If the Packers pull an upset over the Lions, Bay Area Diamond Company will draw a winner, and Cooper & Binkley Jewelers will send the earrings along with a taste of Detroit — famous Faygo pop.
“This is a great way for fans to engage with their teams and support local businesses,” the businesses’ owners said in a joint press release.
