A new Domino’s Pizza is coming soon to western Wayne County

A Domino’s Pizza location is coming to a stretch of Ann Arbor Road that has been hampered recently by closed businesses.

A section of Ann Arbor Road that has been beset by a series of failed or closed businesses is on the verge of experiencing a pepperoni-covered grand opening.

A Domino’s Pizza franchise is “two to three weeks” from opening at 1043 Ann Arbor Road in Plymouth Township, a spokesperson for 5 Frames Construction confirmed to SocialHouseNews.com.

The former site of an AT&T store and sub shop, the building is not far from the recently-closed community business staples The Trading Post and The Plymouth Roc.

Filling a void

The closest Domino’s locations to the under-construction site are at 40420 Five Mile Road in Plymouth and 44350 Cherry Hill Road in Canton.

A Pizza Hut location closed on Ann Arbor Road, just west of the future Domino’s site, a few years ago.

The Plymouth Domino’s will be take-out only.

The closest pizza-centric eat-in restaurants are in downtown Plymouth.

Southeast-Michigan roots

The Domino’s franchise was founded in 1960 with its debut store in Ypsilanti.

In 2022, the pizza-maker announced the rollout of more than 800 custom-branded 2023 Chevy Bolt electric vehicles across select stores in the United States, making it the largest electric pizza delivery fleet in the country, its website claims.

Domino’s is headquartered in Ann Arbor.
