A Westland woman played the Michigan Lottery’s Super Raffle game because she liked the odds, and the odds were in her favor after she won a $100,000 prize.

Patricia Doe, 60, won the big prize when her Super Raffle number – 065230 – was selected as a $100,000 winner in the drawing on Nov. 19.

Ticket purchased on Wayne Rd. business

She bought her winning ticket at Admiral Petroleum #5896, located at 542 North Wayne Road in Westland.

“My husband and I liked the odds of the Super Raffle game, so we bought two tickets,” said Doe. “We forgot we had the tickets, so it wasn’t until recently that we checked our raffle numbers on MichiganLottery.com.

‘It was exhilarating!’

“The first raffle number came back as a $100 winner, and the second raffle number came back as a $100,000 winner! We took the ticket to the store to double check it, but it wasn’t until we went to a Lottery office to have them check it that we believed we really won. It was exhilarating!”

Doe visited Lottery headquarters recently to claim her prize. With her winnings, she plans to complete some home renovations and then save the remainder.
