The Detroit Amplifiers are set to make their BIG3 home debut Sunday at Little Caesars Arena.

The Detroit Amplifiers (“Amps”), the Motor City’s official BIG3 basketball franchise, will take center court at Little Caesars Arena on Sunday, July 20, marking the team’s highly-anticipated home debut.

The Amplifiers will host an electrifying afternoon of 3-on-3 pro basketball as part of the BIG3’s Summer in the City tour.

The Amps, led by Hall of Famer and Head Coach George “The Iceman” Gervin, feature a solid roster that includes guard Jeremy Pargo and NCAA champion Darnell Jackson.

Fast-paced, competitive hoops

The Amps will face off against Stephen Jackson’s DMV Trilogy in the third game of Sunday’s event.

Fans can expect four 50-minute, fast-paced and competitive 3-on-3 basketball games, halftime performances from top musical artists — including a possible appearance by BIG3 co-founder Ice Cube himself — and face time with legends of the game like Dwight Howard, Nancy Lieberman, Nick Young, Dr. J, Michael Beasley, and other hall-of-fame caliber players and coaches.

For a limited time, the Detroit Amps are offering fans two two free standard tickets to the home-opening game, with a $30 apparel purchase.

The officially licensed Detroit Amps apparel line has just launched and includes hats, t-shirts, hoodies, tanks and sweatpants for men and women, featuring the Amps logo and exclusive designs.

Doors open Sunday at 2 p.m. with games starting at 3 p.m. The Amps are set to play at 5 p.m. against the DMV Trilogy.
