Here’s how Royal Oak man fared on Friday’s Jeopardy!
Royal Oak resident Steve Luck accumulated an impressive $11,800 heading into Friday’s Final Jeopardy! round.
Royal Oak resident Steve Luck didn’t need the commodity his last name suggests during Friday’s edition of Jeopardy!.
Luck was equipped with enough skill to build up a more-than-respectable score of $11,800 heading into Final Jeopardy! — $4,400 less than first-place Josh Weickert.
The night’s winner was decided by the final category “Bestsellers” and the answer: “It begins in the village of Juffure and ends in Arkansas more than 200 years and seven generations later.”
They knew their ‘Bestsellers’

Both Luck and Weickert wrote down the right answer — Roots — resulting in a victory for Weickert, who wagered $7,201, which raised his final total to $23,601.
Luck, an IT manager, finished second with $17,800 following his $6,000 Final Jeopardy! wager.
Luck won $2,000 for his efforts.
