95-year-old local man headed to Dancing With the Stars Live
Ninety-five-year-old Zoltan Karassy shows off his dancing skills at Waltonwood Carriage Park.
Zoltan Karassy wasn’t always the confident man you see today.
As a self-described “small, shy kid” in Detroit after high school, he found his voice not through words, but through the Jitterbug.
Today, at 95 years old, the Waltonwood Carriage Park resident is proving that the dance floor is the fountain of youth.
Regular dancing routine
He still dances once a month in Livonia, walks at a pace that puts younger people to shame and doesn’t use a walker or cane.
On May 8, Waltonwood is taking Zoltan on an “Adventure” to Detroit’s historic Fox Theatre for a VIP experience at Dancing with the Stars Live.
For Zoltan, this isn’t just a night out; it’s a professional reunion with the art form he taught for decades.
