89-year-old horse lover enjoys ‘Adventure by Waltonwood’ surprise

Waltonwood Senior Living recently celebrated a heartwarming and inspiring event as Canton’s Waltonwood Cherry Hill resident Nancy d’Hulst, a lifelong horse enthusiast, rekindled her passion for riding horses through the “Adventure by Waltonwood” program.

This special event took place last month at Willow Tree Stables in Romulus.

For seniors like Nancy, riding a horse at Willow Tree isn’t just a trip down memory lane, but rather a reminder that joy isn’t defined by age.

Nancy’s love for horses began at the age of 7 when she first rode her uncle’s horse, Red.

Companionship and comfort

Horses soon became an essential part of her life, providing both companionship and comfort.
