80-year-old Wayne County woman wins gigantic lottery prize
A Wayne County woman turned a $700 prize into a $100,000 prize playing the Michigan Lottery’s Firework Fortune Frenzy online instant game.
“I was bored one night after my husband went to bed, so I logged on to my Lottery account to play some games,” said the 80-year-old-player, who chose to remain anonymous. “The Firework Fortune Frenzy game looked fun and easy, so I deposited money and started playing.
Husband in disbelief
“Right off the bat I won around $700, so I used my winnings to play some more and played a higher wager. I was getting ready to call it quits and log out when the screen lit up showing a $100,000 prize! I woke my husband up and told him, but he didn’t believe me, so I ended up calling the Lottery to make sure it was real.”
The player recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With her winnings, she plans to take a trip and then save the remainder.
